Trevor Tracker (Wk15): A Near-Perfect Performance
Trevor Lawrence just played the best game of his career. It was almost the best game in NFL history.
I'm no baseball fan, but it feels appropriate to compare Trevor Lawrence's most recent showing to a no-hitter. It wasn't a perfect game, largely because he finished with a 62.5% completion percentage, but it was damn near close!
Lawrence became the first NFL player to record 5 passing touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, and 50-plus rushing yards in a game. It was a 99th percentile performance in terms of Expected Points Added (EPA) per dropback.
best EPA per dropback for a Jags offense since a Mark Brunell/Jamie Martin combo against the Cardinals in week 15, 2000! https://t.co/5xmmQs7Eqp

The fact that it was against the 3-11 Jets, sans Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams, shouldn't discredit six scores in 60 minutes. Lawrence is just the second NFL player this season (and the seventh over the past decade) to do it.
Let's take a look at his Week 15 performance through the lens of some passing splits.
