Woof!

The bye week is here just in time. After deflating losses to the Seahawks and the Rams, the Jaguars are 4-3 with plenty of issues to resolve. Self-inflicted errors are a constant and injuries have zapped the team's energy. Can the ship get righted?

Here are 3 Numbers to Know following Jacksonville's Week 7 loss to Los Angeles.

That's how many defensive snaps Travis Hunter played in the first half.

His first appearance at cornerback was a special one. In the third quarter, Hunter had a man-to-man assignment against Davante Adams (who had 3 TDs in the game) and forced a pass breakup down the sideline.

Any excitement about the play was masked by confusion as to why the Jaguars didn't play him sooner. Why wait until the defense had allowed three touchdowns?

Hunter wasn't targeted (or run toward) the rest of the day, which resulted in a game-high 82.6 PFF defense grade. He was much busier on the other side of the ball.

The No. 2 overall pick finished with 8 receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown. He's the only rookie this season (and the third in franchise history) to record 8+ catches and 100+ yards in a game.

Hunter's score was the first of his career, and the only points scored by Jacksonville.

Again, a great play by Hunter was made too little too late.

Apparently we're at the point where he's having to coaches to let him make an impact.

"I told coach to get me the ball, I'll go out there and make a play," Hunter said postgame. "He got me the ball, and I did what I had to do."

The Jaguars rank 22nd in points per game (20.9) and yards per play (5.1). It'll be fascinating to see what direction Liam Coen takes to fix his unit during the bye.

If Sunday was any indication, Hunter may become the offensive focal point sooner than later. Yet, if Sunday was any indication, Hunter could also become a defensive pillar sooner than later.

Both sides of the ball are desperate for playmaking; Jacksonville has generated the ninth-fewest plays of 25+ yards this season, and they've allowed the fifth-most.

Hunter's NFL career was always going to be interesting because it's the first of its kind. The Jaguars' first question was, "How can we best maximize this guy's talents?"

Now, it feels like their question is, "How can this guy's talents best solve our problems?"
