Gus Bets: Top Props for Jaguars vs Bengals in Week 2
Brenton Strange has a new receiving role. Let's make some money off it.

Welcome back!
Aside from a surprisingly slow start for Brian Thomas, we had a good Week 1. Bets cashed with ease on Travis Etienne (o57.5 total yards), Dyami Brown (o25.5 receiving yards) and Tetairoa McMillan (o4.5 catches). Shoutout to subscriber/commenter Jamie C. for parlaying those together at 7-to-2 odds!
2025 betting record: 3-1 (75%, +1.74 units)
Below are my favorite Week 2 wagers for Jaguars (+3.5) at Bengals.
Brenton Strange longest reception over 15.5 yards (-110, DraftKings)
Strange's utilization in the run game has carried over from 2024. He remains a menace as a slicing blocker, and his lead block in space on Brian Thomas' end-around touchdown was a play the Jaguars ran multiple times last year.

While his blocking assignments look similar, Strange has entered a new role in the passing game. The third-year pro had a team-high 59 receiving yards in the season opener, with 2 catches of 15+ yards. He only had 8 such catches in 31 career games prior to Sunday.
His average depth of target has climbed from 6.3 yards as a rookie, to 7.4 yards last year, to 9.0 to start this season. After being deployed like late-career Jason Witten as a pure safety net, Strange is earning targets further down the field. He certainly had more long catches in 2025 training camp than any previous year.
Meanwhile, the Bengals ranked bottom three in targets, catches, and yards allowed to tight ends last year. David Njoku and Harold Fannin combined for 100 receiving yards with 3 catches of 15+ yards against them in Week 1.
With an expanded role as a receiver and weak opposition on deck, Strange should have a chunk play or three this week.
